Yummy salad today. I've been needing to harvest for a while now, but I have a friend coming over to check out the high tunnel as everything is nice and full so I only harvested enough for tonight.
In this group-
1.Tatsoi
2. Lettuce 'Red Sails'
3. Claytonia
4. Lettuce 'Roxy'
5. Lettuce-Not sure on variety
6. Kale 'Red Russian'
7. Lettuce 'Emerald Oak
8. Mibuna
9. Mustard 'Ruby Streaks'
10. Lettuce 'Garnet Oakleaf'
11. Beet greens 'Bull's Blood'
12. Pansy
13. Spinach
14. Mustard 'Purple Osaka'
15. Frisse Endive
16. Minutina
This is bed 1 and 2 in the high tunnel- most of what is in these beds was planted last November or was direct sown over the winter. I have transplanted some things a bit here and there and am harvesting from those too. I've been feeding the soil in these beds well - so everything is 😊
Bed 2 and 3 in the high tunnel- bed 3 on the left is just now starting to get a little sun- so I'm experimenting with planting out some transplants early. The other beds also have some transplants from early February sowings indoors- this is the earliest I've ever transplanted.
Happy Growing,
Tessa

9. Mustard 'Ruby Streaks' I believe is what came up from the mixed lettuce I did. It bolted almost immediately. I ended up pulling it and feeding it to the chickens. Do you find it's a little pickier then some of your other greens?
Sorry Suelynn, don't know how I missed your comment! I love ruby streaks, but haven't really had trouble with it bolting. Most mustards I've tried get stronger tasting as it get warmer or the plant gets older. Maybe try it again in the cooler months. It's one crops that I can keep going throughout the winter- without heat, and it really does taste milder then.
