I drink them regularly and I just don't think I could live without them. The nice thing about using home grown produce is that the greens are tender- they're not huge leaves that taste like the bottom of a shoe!
With tender, young leaves of kale and spinach, you don't have a lot of tiny chunks or grains of greens in there. Important considering I only have a 5 speed blender (KitchenAid). Don't get me wrong, it's a good blender, with an ice crusher speed (important because I always add a frozen banana so it's cold!), and does a great job, but it's no Vitamix- which I've heard are nice.
This smoothie had the following: 2 kinds of kale, baby spinach, aloe vera, ground flax seed, frozen banana, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, turmeric, parsley, and coconut milk. Perfect. It was yummy!
